<Previous Next> Jesus Christ; Her New "Adam"
I am a single woman in college who came across E5 Men in another email. I checked it out to see if it would be something my friend would be interested in and I found the link for E5 Women. I can't tell you how much it means that there are 7000 men fasting for women all over the world. I am discerning my vocation and it gets very difficult at times, but when I get the monthly reminder from Steve, I am reminded that there are thousands of other people out there who are going through the same difficulties, and many times worse ones, as me. The monthly reminders also have played a major part in seeing me through difficult times. One time I was struggling with my feelings for a guy who is dating another girl. His name happens to be Adam and right when I was going through the toughest time, I got the reminder for November which said, "Loneliness strikes us all and there is only one solution - Jesus Christ. No other man can fill the need we all have to overcome our loneliness sense the fall. No mere Adam can solve this problem." It was like a slap in the face to get me refocused on God. The February reminder also came at the right time. I had recently fallen into a state of very sluggish and not really heartfelt prayer. Some days I didn't even bother. And then I read the anecdote about the man smoking and praying and then the rest of Steve's analysis of prayer. It really comforted me and my sister, who I forwarded it to. These two simple stories and the great love I have felt from the anonymous 7000 men and the other E5 Women proves that fasting and praying is beneficial to the soul, and not just your own. It doesn't matter if you know someone who is an E5 Man or not or if you have a special woman to fast for or not...knowing that somewhere there is a single man or woman fasting and/or praying for another anonymous person proves that God's love is alive and well and continues to grow within each one of us. Thank you E5 Men for all that you do. And thank you Steve for following the guidance of the Holy Spirit in setting up this organization. God Bless you all, e5 Woman, South Dakota, USA
